Borderland Voices a charity promoting Health and Well-being through the Arts

RICHARD'S abseil....
Well, we did it and we enjoyed it so much, we went down three times each.
Thank you to everyone who supported us, from donors, to the team members and their families.
A huge thanks to Mark Fox, our anchorman on the day and the voice of calm to those of us less confident. Brilliant job Mark.Thank you to Jaz Bagdi, who's smile never left his face. whether he was on the rope, or solid ground.
Thank you to Zuleika, not least for overcoming your fears (three times). What next for you?
Thank you to our friends and families for supporting us on the day. Lyn, James, Stuart, Kira, Dee, Jo, Matt, Leeanne, our chairman of trustees, Bob and last, but by no means least Rokai, 5 in August and Matthew, 6 next February, both of whom descended three times each.
A terrific time, in aid of a very worthwhile cause.

Throughout 2018 we intend various events to celebrate BV’s
20th birthday – quite a milestone.

Andy sent a calendar to Buckingham Palace, c/o a lady-in-waiting who replied when the group sent writing to honour the Queen’s 90th birthday. See reply from Sandringham House inside.

If you know of any possible sponsors for BV, please tell Andy.

Richard & Zuleika haven’t quite reached their sponsored abseil target of £1500, but it’s not too late to support them. Online:; cash: to Andy.

Welcome back to Rose (who is now married). With her we’ll be exploring new SW Peak themes, including the ancient tradition of well-dressing; & Egyptology & deer – both associated with Lyme Park (sorry no visit planned this time).
New this month: if a blank piece of paper terrifies you, using pre-printed sheets for therapeutic colouring is very restful. Two drop-in sessions (Wed 8th afternoon, Thurs 16th evening). All materials provided.
